Democracy has a brand problem

Firstly, Kamala didn’t lose; democracy did. Kamala did a fantastic job and could not have done any better. Her only fault was being a woman of color, and America was not ready for that. Even though she harvested endorsements from larger-than-life stars like Taylor Swift and Beyonce, she enjoyed generous help from the other side of the aisle, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Liz Chainey, and Adam Kinzenger. Nothing could have saved democracy from its most sacred act — the vote. What happened?

Nothing hurts more than thinking we are the only ones who are right, only to find out we are the only ones who are wrong. Times have changed.

Democrats campaigned as the party of the future but became the party of the past — the old-fashioned, pro-establishment party of billionaires. That’s gotta hurt. “They act like college-educated rich people who get high-paying jobs while talking highfalutin words no one can understand other than their echo chamber of snobs.” This did not go well with the working man.

Americans voted to end democracy because they barely know what a democracy is. Why is there plenty of money to fund wars halfway across the globe, but the people struggle to survive with two miserable jobs? Why are they financing the massacre of Palestinians? No one is stupid; people see…
